4. Assess
Inspect substation assets in 3D—click to view measurements, metadata, and equipment types. Select and classify components with exact locations, elevations, and clearances—fully structured for design and analysis.
5. Export
Export imagery, point clouds, vector linework, and metadata in standard formats including DWG, DXF, LAS/LAZ, CSV, LandXML, and PLS for seamless integration into design or asset inspection workflows.
6. Validate
Construct high accuracy models and extract features of utility assets as they currently exist. Compare models to CAD models and prior model constructions to validate asset health and compliance. Document previously undocumented and modified assets. Validate rebuilds and restorations after damaging or destructive events.

Central Hudson Gas & Electric partnered with Looq AI to rapidly capture, create, and analyze a large, representative data set of distribution poles, lines, and substations. Specifically, the project included 3D point clouds, panoramas, ortho-images, and segmentations of lines, poles, vegetation, ground, and other features. As a result, Central Hudson was able to extract line-pole geometry for loading analysis — advancing their utility asset documentation and inspection capabilities across their service territory.
