Privacy Policy

LiMAR AI Inc., doing business as Looq.ai, (“we,” “us,” or “our”) provides products and services that enable its business customers to collect detailed geospatial information and create 3D models at industrial scale (“Products”) for purposes of surveying, construction, engineering, assessment, and maintenance of buildings, terrains, scenes or (civil) infrastructure (the “Services”). In the context of the provision of our Services, we collect and use information that relates to identified or identifiable individuals (“Personal Information”). This Privacy Policy describes our practices in connection with Personal Information, as well as other information, that we collect through our Services and our Website (including our Webapp available at https://app.looq.ai).

SERVICES

Customer information

We collect Personal Information of our customers to manage our relationship with the customer and provide our Services. This includes Personal Information such as:

  • Name;
  • Contact details;
  • Name of employer;
  • Jot title and function;
  • Financial information, such as payment method, billing details and invoice history;
  • Log-in information;
  • Location information.


Information collected through our Products

When customers use our geo-camera Products, our Products capture photographic images and location information. We also collect information about the areas in which the Products were employed. For example, if our customers use our Products to survey a bridge, we will receive and analyze image information about the bridge, its location, and the nearby environment of the bridge. We may also collect additional geospatial information that our customer provides. For example, after collecting data for a project, customers may choose to augment that data by providing additional survey data or metadata on our Webapp. The Products may also collect WiFi-information if the customer connects the Product to a WiFi network.

Our customers are responsible for how they use our Products and the photographic images generated through their use of our Products. Although our Products are not intended to collect Personal Information, the photographic images created by our customers using our Products may nevertheless include faces of passersby, vehicle license plates, or other Personal Information. Our Products automatically blur images of faces and license plates, but we cannot guarantee their effectiveness in protecting Personal Information.



Use of Personal Information

We and our service providers use Personal Information for the following purposes:

  • Providing you with our newsletter and/or other marketing materials.
    • To promote our Services and send you tailored marketing communications about Products, services, offers, programs, and promotions of Looq and our partners and measure the success of those campaigns. For example, we may send different marketing communications to you based on your subscription plan or what we think may interest you.
    • To analyze your interactions with our Products so we can tailor our advertising to what we think will interest you.

  • Improving our Products.
    • To analyze and learn about how the Products are accessed and used, evaluate and improve our Products (including by developing new products and services and managing our communications), and monitor and measure the effectiveness of our advertising. For example, if we learn that most users of paid Products use a particular feature, we might wish to expand on that feature.

  • Aggregating and/or anonymizing Personal Information.
    • We may aggregate and/or anonymize Personal Information so that it will no longer be considered Personal Information. We do so to generate other data for our use, which we may use and disclose for any purpose, as it no longer identifies you or any other individual.

  • Accomplishing our business purposes.
    • For audits, to verify that our internal processes function as intended and to address legal, regulatory, or contractual requirements;
    • For fraud prevention and security monitoring purposes, including to detect and prevent cyberattacks or attempts to commit identity theft;
    • For developing new products and services;
    • For enhancing, improving, repairing, maintaining, or modifying our current Products and services, as well as undertaking quality and safety assurance measures;
    • For identifying usage trends, for example, understanding which parts of our Services are of most interest to users;
    • For determining the effectiveness of our promotional campaigns; and
    • For operating and expanding our business activities.


Disclosure of Personal Information

We disclose Personal Information to our third-party service providers, to facilitate services they provide to us. These can include providers of such services as website hosting, data analysis, payment processing, order fulfillment, fraud prevention, information technology and related infrastructure provision, customer service, email delivery, and auditing.


Other Uses and Disclosures

We may also use and disclose Personal Information as we believe to be necessary or appropriate: (a) to comply with applicable law, to respond to requests from public and government authorities, to cooperate with law enforcement, and for other legal reasons; (b) to enforce our terms and conditions; and (c) to protect our rights, privacy, safety, or property, and/or that of you or others. We may use, disclose, or transfer Personal Information to a third party in connection with any proposed or actual reorganization, bankruptcy, merger, sale, joint venture, assignment, transfer, or other disposition of all or any portion of our assets or stock.

WEBSITE VISITORS

We and our service providers may collect and use data when you visit our Website in a variety of ways, including:

  • Your browser or device.
    • Certain information is collected by most browsers or automatically through your device, such as your Media Access Control (MAC) address, computer type (Windows or Mac), screen resolution, operating system name and version, device manufacturer and model, language, and Internet browser type and version. We use this information to ensure that the Websites function properly.

  • Cookies.
    • Cookies are pieces of information stored directly on your computer. Cookies allow us to collect such information as browser type, time spent on the Websites, pages visited, language preferences, and traffic data. We use the information for security purposes, to facilitate navigation, to display information more effectively, and to personalize your experience. We also gather statistical information about use of the Websites in order to continually improve their design and functionality, understand how they are used, and assist us with resolving questions regarding them. We do not currently respond to browser do-not-track signals. If you do not want information collected through the use of cookies, most browsers allow you to automatically decline cookies or be given the choice of declining or accepting particular cookies from a particular website.   • Pixel tags and other similar technologies.
    • Pixel tags. We may use pixel tags (also known as web beacons and clear GIFs) to, among other things, track the actions of users of the Websites (including email recipients), measure the 3 success of our marketing campaigns, and compile statistics about use of the Websites and response rates.
    • Analytics. Analytics tools collect information about your use of the Website and enable us to improve the way it works. For example, analytics tools show us which are the most frequently visited pages on the Website and help us record any difficulties you have with the Website. This allows us to see the overall patterns of usage on the Website, rather than the usage of a single person. We use the information to analyze Website traffic, but we do not examine this information for individually identifying information.
    • Google Analytics. We use Google Analytics, which uses cookies and similar technologies to collect and analyze information about the use of the Services and report on activities and trends.     • Invisible reCAPTCHA. We use Google’s invisible reCAPTCHA application on our Websites in order to protect against spam and other automated abuse. The reCAPTCHA tool may make use of cookies, as well as such other information as IP address, date, time, language, screen size and resolution, and mouse movements. The use of the reCAPTCHA tool and information collected through it are subject to Google’s privacy policy, available at https://policies.google.com/privacy and Google’s terms of service, available at https://policies.google.com/terms?hl=en.

  • Physical Location.
    • We may collect the physical location of your device by, for example, using satellite, cell phone tower, or Wi-Fi signals. We may use your device’s physical location to provide you with personalized location-based services and content. In some instances, you may be permitted to allow or deny such use of your device’s location, but, if you do, we may not be able to provide you with the applicable personalized services and content.

SECURITY

We seek to use reasonable organizational, technical, and administrative measures to protect Personal Information within our organization. Unfortunately, no data transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. If you have reason to believe that your interaction with us is no longer secure, please immediately notify us in accordance with the “Contact Us” section below.

Please note that it is your responsibility to ensure that only properly authorized individuals within your organization have access to our Products. It is important that you properly secure Looq geo-camera devices and passwords to access our online services. We are not responsible for unauthorized use of Products by you or your organization.

MANAGING YOUR INFORMATION

You can control the information that you provide to us in the following ways.

  • Device Information. When you first launch our Product and associated applications, you will be asked to consent to the collection of information. You can change these preferences at any time within the geo-camera or application settings. You may also stop collection of all such information by ceasing to use the geo-camera device and deleting any associated applications on your mobile phone or computer.
  • Project Information. You can export or delete your project data from our Webapp at any time. We may archive your project data for internal use and as a backup against accidental deletion, but we will not sell this information.
  • Tracking Technologies and Advertising. You can set your browser or use our cookie manager to determine the way that you interact with cookies on our Website.
  • Promotional Offers from Looq. If you do not wish to have your email address or other contact information used by Looq to promote our own or third parties’ products or services or wish to revoke your prior consent for Looq to do so, you can opt-out at any time using the Email Marketing Preference Settings link at the bottom of any promotional email you have received from us. Please note that this opt-out does not affect information provided to Looq as a result of a product purchase, service agreement, or other transactions.

THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

This Privacy Policy does not address, and we are not responsible for, the privacy, information, or other practices of any third parties, including any third party operating a website or service to which the Services link. The inclusion of a link on the Websites does not imply our endorsement of the linked site or service.

USE OF THE SERVICES BY MINORS

The Services are not directed to individuals under the age of thirteen (13), and we do not knowingly collect Personal Information from individuals under 13.

JURISDICTION AND CROSS-BORDER TRANSFER

We are located in the United States. We may store and process your Personal Information in any country where we have facilities or in which we engage service providers. By using our Services or visiting our Websites, you understand that your information will be transferred to countries outside of your country of residence, including the United States, which may have data protection rules that are different from those of your country.

SENSITIVE INFORMATION

Unless we request it, we ask that you not send us, and you not disclose, any sensitive Personal Information (e.g., Social Security numbers, information related to racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religion or other beliefs, health, biometrics or genetic characteristics, or criminal background) on or through the Services and Websites or otherwise to us.

THIRD PARTY PAYMENT SERVICE

We may provide functionality allowing you to make payments using a third-party payment service. When you use such a service to make a payment to us, your Personal Information will be collected by such third party and will be subject to the third party’s privacy policy, rather than this Privacy Policy. We have no control over, and are not responsible for, any such third party’s collection, use, or disclosure of your Personal Information.

UPDATES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY

The “LAST UPDATED” legend at the top of this Privacy Policy indicates when this Privacy Policy was last revised. Any changes will become effective when we post the revised Privacy Policy on the Websites. Depending on the kind of change we make, we may notify you of the change or ask for your consent.
